The large painting in Malthus’ house looks quite serene. It pictures a simple moonlit glade, though any time bright moonlight hits the painting several dangerous creatures emerge from it.
These creatures often trash the mansion on their way out, and have injured or killed several servants already.
The house remains un-finished due to the presence of the painting. It seemingly can’t be removed or destroyed. Whenever anyone attempts to damage it, the force is transferred back to the attacker. It also can’t be removed from the wall – even the wall behind the painting is affected.
